Why use Chronicles of Narnia

The Chronicles of Narnia are seven
allegories.

The Magicians Nephew

The Lion the Which and the Wardrobe

The Horse and His Boy

Prince Caspian

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader

The Silver Chair

The Last Battle

They were written by CS Lewis to help children and others understand scripture.  Although they are not scriptures they may help you understand scripture.

"As to Aslan's other name, well, I want you to guess.  Has there been any one in this world who
Arrived the same time as Father Christmas
Said he was the Son of the Great Emperor
Gave Himself up for some one else's fault jeered at and killed      by wicked people
     Came to life again
Is some times spoken of as a lamb"

...That's one of the very few clues that Jack (Clive Staples Lewis) gave his readers about the meaning of the "hidden story" in his books ...
