Season Five
#1 - "Fathers and Sons"
Alec, wanting to prepare Felix for when he inherits the farm, gives him more chores around the farm. Felix, who doesn't want to farm (he'd rather open a tea room) rebels under the pressure and stays the night at the hotel. A guest
of the hotel convinces Felix to make amends with his father.
Just as Felix quits his job and decides to do what Alec wants, Alec tells Felix he can choose his own way in life.
#2 - "Memento Mori"
Hetty is having one heck of a bad day. Not only is she turning 50, her publisher fires her and she ends up with appendicitis. Throughout the surgery and recovery she remembers the days of her youth. When she was well again, she began writing of her youth.
#3 - "Modern Times"
Upon realizing that the cannery is to become a distillery, because it wouldn't sell, Hetty buys the cannery. Olivia convinces Hetty to let herself and Jasper run it. After turning a good profit, they convince Hetty to let them buy it from her.

"Lobsters are somewhat different than Automobiles, Jasper."
"For sure, for sure... For one thing, they're not all black."
#4-"A Friend in Need"
Sara discovers that the reason Davey is always so naughty at school is because he can't read. His confidence grows as she teaches him. Meanwhile, Olivia convinces Clive that Izzy is growing up and is wanting to dress more like a girl.

"I wouldn't trade you in for a whole regiment of soldiers"
#5 - "Stranger in the Night"
Alec and Janet discover a stranger in their barn, who is taking cover from the storm. Alec decides to hire him on to help with bringing in the hay, and is very pleased with his work. But Caleb's past catches up with him, and though Alec wants him to stay, Caleb leaves Avonlea to live in the States.
#6 - "The Great Race"
Going against Janet's wishes, Alec helps Felix train for the first annual Steeple Chase. When Felix falls off Prince while they run on the beach, he gets too scared to get back on. Janet tells Felix that she too is scared of horses, for the same reason, and convinces him to get back on. She then allows him to ride in the race.
#7 - "Someone to Believe In"
A visiting politician and his daughter are staying at the White Sands hotel. Felix and Adeline take a liking to each other, and Felix shows her around Avonlea. Mr. Hodgeson wants Alec to run for office, and he starts thinking about it, until he sees the dark side of politics. Meanwhile, Felix realizes that Adeline is stealing things from around the hotel. When he tells Mr. Hodgeson, he tries to buy Felix's silence.

#8 - "Strictly Melodrama"
Avonlea is hosting the annual drama competition, and Hetty is determined to win... She even wrote the play. After Muriel (The leading lady) has to leave town on a family emergency, Hetty gives the part to Janet, who is thrilled. But when Hetty learns that World Famous Actress, Isabelle Carrington is staying at the White Sands, she talks her into taking the part. Janet is crushed. Isabelle's arrogant manner drives everyone crazy, and Hetty fires her... Then has to go begging back to Janet. With Janet in the lead, Avonlea wins the competition.
#9 - "Thursday's Child"
When Cecily starts coughing up blood, the doctor is called. He diagnoses it to be tuberculoses. Janet refusing to send Cecily to a sanatorium, tries to tend to her herself. Everyone in Avonlea is frightened, thinking they'll get the disease, and Felix and Felicity lose their jobs. Muriel takes Felicity to the library in Carmody to learn about the disease, and they eventually meet Dr. Jones, a female doctor. Dr. Jones convinces them to send Cecily to a sanatorium and Felicity shocks everyone with the announcement that she plans to become a doctor.

#10 - "Best Laid Plans"
When Davey bumps Jasper's experiment, Jasper finds the formula for a resin plastic that's unbreakable. Against his better judgment, he enlists his cousin, Jeremiah Dale's help to put his product on the market. But Jeremiah lives up to his reputation as the black sheep of the family when he is almost successful in conning the town out of a large sum of money... So much for 'Jasperon".

#11 - "Otherwise Engaged"
When Gus gets promoted to Assistant Manager at the hotel, he feels he is finally able to propose marriage to Felicity. (For the 2nd time) But Felicity has just been accepted into Medical School. In the end, Gus leaves Avonlea to find his way in the world. He gives Felicity his ring, with no strings attached. Meanwhile, after Dora's suggestion that Clive needs a wife, Izzy plays matchmaker and gets Clive and Muriel together.

"Now you have fun in class with all those insects tomorrow."
"I'm surprised she'd refer to your classmates as insects."
#12 - "Enter Prince Charming"
When the new minister and his family arrive in Avonlea Sara is assigned the duty of watching over their son who is a 'robust ten'... But Booth turns out to be a 'robust teen', and Sara is ready to fulfill her duty. She even lies to Hetty and sneaks out to attend a party with Booth and Elbert. Meanwhile, Janet finds the Minister's wife, Viola, a kindred spirit.
#13 - "The Minister's Wife"
When Janet visits Viola and tries some of her 'tonic', they both get rip-roaring drunk and get into quite a bit of mischief... Even stealing Muriel's car. She finds out the secrets in Viola's life. Meanwhile, the congregation wish to dismiss the Pastor because of his wife, and the humor he puts into his sermons. Booth and Sara get closer, but Hetty is their constant companion... Until they ditch her. In the end the Elliot family leave Avonlea so Viola can be closer to the hospital.
Season Six
#1 - "The Return of Gus Pike"
While attending Medical school, Felicity and Gus bump into each other. While taking a walk they meet a woman, Eliza, who recognizes Gus' ring (Which Felicity had returned to him when she thought he had found a new love). They bring Eliza back to Avonlea, and it is discovered that she is Gus' mother and that Abe Pike is not his father, Captain Crane is. To learn more of his past, Gus and Eliza leave Avonlea to go to Jamaica to find Captain Crane. Gus once again asks Felicity to marry him, and this time she says yes. They are to marry on his return to Avonlea.
#2 - "Lonely Hearts"
The White Sands hotel host a Bachelor Action and many people
are 'hooked' up. Clive and Muriel, Felix and Izzy, Pierre and Rachel, Davey and the Lester girl (I can't remember her name!) and most surprising, Simon and Hetty!
#3 - "Christmas in June"
Cecily is not happy with how things are going at the sanatorium and is already feeling a bit rebellious, when she meets Louie. They get into a lot of mischief, in the process they become good friends. Louie makes Cecily promise to get better and go home, but he passes away during the night.
#4 - "Comings and Goings"
Sara returns to Avonlea after a 6 months stay in Montreal. At dinner, Louisa announces her plans to take Sara to tour Europe and Hetty announces her own plans to take Sara on a train trek across Canada... Let the fight begin. Sara on the other hand, would rather go to Paris, on her own, to study. She is afraid of hurting the feelings of the two women, and it takes a lot of courage to tell them what she wants. To her surprise, they both think it's a great idea. Meanwhile, Izzy (with Sara's help) sends Felix a secret admirer letter, but he thinks it's from Gretta, the new housekeeper at the White Sands.

#5 - "The Trouble with Davey"
Rachel suffers a severe stroke and goes west to live with her son Robert to recover. Robert refuses to let Davey and Dora come along, so Hetty takes them in. Dora, upset by yet another change, clings to Hetty. While Davey begins to rebel. In the end, they accept their life at Rose Cottage, though they miss Rachel allot.
#6 - "Great Expectations"
When Davey refuses to go back to school, Hetty decides to use reverse psychology and tells him to get a job. But Jasper doesn't agree with the deception and takes Davey under his wing. Jasper eventually convinces Davey to go back to school and takes him on as an apprentice.
#7-"A Fox Tale"
Felix decides to start a fox farm and takes Izzy on as his partner. When Felicity won't them him set up in the barn (as it is so near the chicken coop) they set up in the woods, but the foxes escape. They decide what they need is a building but they need an adult cosigner to get money from the bank to rent the place Felix wants. As Izzy goes off to ask her father if they can use the shed, Felix 'dumps' her to take Nat Lester on as a partner for his signature. Izzy is hurt terribly, and Nat spends money like crazy. When the foxes escape again, Felix is left with a huge debt. Izzy forgives Felix and together they find and sell the foxes and get out of debt... They hold hands!!!!
#8 - "Fools and Kings"
With Felicity in Medical school, Felix at the hotel all the time, Cecily in the sanatorium, Daniel on a trip with Eliza and Alec busy on the farm, poor Janet is bored and lonely. She answers an advertisement from ACME home industries and gets herself into a whole lot of trouble! She refuses to let Alec bale her out, and fixes everything on her own.
#9 - "The More Things Change"
When Clive and Muriel become engaged, Izzy is not impressed.
Though she likes Muriel as a friend, she doesn't want her for a mother. When she finds out that Clive has been made superintendent of schools she becomes even more upset. Muriel is hurt by Izzy's actions and calls off the wedding. Izzy realizes her mistake and gets Muriel to rethink her decision.
#10 - "Home is Where the Heart Is"
Rachel, against the wishes of her son, returns to Avonlea. On the way home she suffers another stroke that leaves her speechless. With the help of Hetty and the kids, she learns to speak a few word so she can tell her sons she intends to stay in Avonlea for good.
#11 - "What a Tangled Web We Weave"
When Pierre tells his mother he is the owner of the White Sands, she plans to have her daughter's wedding there. Her daughter is marrying the son of the Countess Polenska, who is also penniless. When all is said and done, the White Sands must cover the expenses of the wedding.
#12-"A Time to Every Purpose"
When Felicity is to late to register for her second year at Medical school, she takes a job with Dr. Snow. She soon discovers that it is not being a doctor she loves so much, but the studying and the challenge of being a women in medicine. She decides to drop out medical school.
#13 - "Homecoming"
