Season Three
#1 - "Sister of the Bride"
(RTA - The Ties that Bind)
Jasper and Olivia are planning a simple wedding, much to Hetty's despair. But when she catches them trying to elope, she takes them over and plans quite the elaborate shindig. But nothing is easy in Avonlea... Digger helps himself to the cake, Olivia's wedding dress gets mixed up with one that is a mite big and Felix loses the wedding ring! But when the day is finished, Jasper and Olivia couldn't be happier.
#2 - "But When She Was Bad... She Was Horrid" Part 1
Sara is growing up and begins to get a mind of her own, which doesn't please Hetty at all. They go to the store to buy Sara a new dress and Sara finds a pretty one that she loves. Hetty refuses to let Sara buy it and buys an ugly pinafore instead. When Sara secretly buys the dress with her own money Hetty is furious and puts it in the mission box. Sara goes to get it back and meets Jo Pitts... Sara's look-alike. They trade places and Sara goes to Halifax with Gus, who is looking for Captain Crane who sent him a message.
#3 - "But When She Was Bad... She Was Horrid" Part 2
Jo Pitts behaves like a complete brat and is stealing from all over Avonlea. Hetty thinks she is deranged and is at a loss as to what to do with her. Meanwhile, Gus realizes that Abe Pike has tricked him and he tells Sara to run, but she is caught by some thugs who think she is Jo Pitts. It takes a while, but they do escape and return to Avonlea. They are just in time to save Hetty from a nervous breakdown.
#4 - Felix and Blackie"
When Alec decides to sell an aging farm horse, Felix begs to keep him. Alec tells him that he must pay for Blackie's keep, so Felix starts a delivery service and enlists the aid of Sara and Cecily. But the kids are clumsy, and goods are damaged. To save his pride, Felix takes on a bet that leads to an accident and the death of Blackie.
#5 - "Facts and Fictions"
When the school board tells Hetty to change her style of teaching, she gets angry and quits. After a long search they hire Alistair Dimple, who pretends to be a teacher, but is actually an out-of-work actor. His play acting leads to the class winning the history contest, but Alec is forced to let him go when he finds out who he really is. Hetty is begged to come back and changes her approach to teaching

"Janet, it's late, I'm tired. Whatever it is, I'm sorry."
#6 - "Aunt Janet's Rebellion"
(RTA - Aunt Janet Rebels)
Janet joins the fight to get the vote for women, which doesn't please anyone. She helps the cannery workers go on strike and ends up in jail. The cannery owner's wife makes him come to terms with the strikers and Janet is released. Alec helps her get the 50 signatures on her petition, even convincing Hetty to sign it.
#7 - "A Dark and Stormy Night"
Gus falls prey to a woman names Amanda Stone, who is being chased by a Robert Rutherford. This leads to a wild goose chase, with everyone in search of a collection of priceless gems. Felicity is out to save Gus from the 'hussy'. Hetty helps Gus get a job at the White Sands Hotel.
#8 - "Friends and Relations"
The men are off for a weekend of ice fishing, the women are off for a day at the White Sands and the kids are left to baby-sit. The men get to become better friends and Jasper saves Alec's life. The women do nothing but argue, and the kids have their hands full with Lucky... who is quite the brat. When Lucky runs off, everyone goes in search of him in the midst of a snowstorm. In the end, all is well in love and war.
#9 - "True Confessions"
(RTA - Vows of Silence)
Janet receives an ugly hair comb from Hetty and Olivia, who become quite angry when Janet doesn't wear it. But Janet can't find the comb as Felicity 'borrowed' it, then lost it. The kids, after hearing quite the sermon, believe that the world is coming to an end. Peg, convinces them that the only way to stop the end, is by outweighing the evil with good. So the kids confess all, and 'save' the world. (It was actually a lunar eclipse)
#10 - "After the Honeymoon"
A woman scientist, Sydney Carver, comes to Avonlea to do 'Bat Research' along side Jasper. Jasper is thrilled to have another scientific mind to talk to and Sydney falls for Jasper. Meanwhile, Sara and Felix are convinced that Sydney is a vampire who has come to get Jasper. They all end up in a cave filled with bats where Sydney throws herself at Jasper.
#11 - "High Society"
Because of her good grades, Felicity is a candidate for a scholarship to Kingsport Ladies College. Desperate to impress the rich girls, she pretends to be Sara. When she wins the scholarship, she must stand before the board and tell the truth. There is a new French Chef, Pierre, at the White Sands.
#12 - "The Calamitous Courting of Hetty King"
A skate salesman, Wally Higgons, comes to town and falls for Hetty and her perfect 'tootsie wootsies'. While Hetty tries to ward off his advances, she is also fighting with her neighbor, Wellington Campbell, over the boundary between their properties.
#13 - "Old Friends, Old Wounds"
Marilla Cuthbert dies, but her will is left uncompleted. Gilbert Blythe, who comes for the funeral, must fight for Green Gables. He ends up losing the property, but convinces the new owner to let Rachel stay on there permanently.
Season Four
#1 - "Tug of War"
Jasper's somewhat looney relatives come to Avonlea for the birth of Olivia's baby, and plan to help Olivia raise it. But Hetty has other plans. She resigns as the teacher of the Avonlea Public School and becomes the baby's baby-sitter. Jasper helps bring Montgomery Dale into the world, even saving his life.
#2 - "The Lady and the Blade"
Clive Pettibone comes to Avonlea to become the new teacher. Hetty writes her first book, called "The Lady and the Blade". It turns out that Clive also writes books under the name of C.L. Small. They become good friends, and critique each other's work.
#3 - "Incident at Vernon River"
Felix, disappointed that he didn't get a rifle for his birthday, sneaks off with Alec's rifle. While hunting with Izzy and Morgan Pettibone, he accidentally shoots Digger. With Arthur's (Clive's oldest son) help, Digger recovers and Felix has learned a valuable lesson. Much to Gus' despair, Felicity becomes interested in Arthur.
#4 - "Boys Will be Boys"
It is decided that Avonlea needs a volunteer fire department. Both Alec and Clive are nominated to be fire chief, but Clive wins. In the end, they all learn to work together.
#5 - "Sara and the Marshall"
(RTA - Moving On)
A 'Wild West' show comes to Avonlea, and Sara becomes interested in Marshall Zac Morgan. Due to financial difficulties, a coworker talks Zac into inviting Sara along as the long lost daughter of Calamity Jane, to help boost sales. But when she sneaks out to meet him, they have moved on without her.
#6 - "Evelyn"
Alec and Emmett, a friend from his youth, are on a boat when it explodes. They are both blown free, but Emmett is knocked unconscious and drowns, leaving behind a young wife and new baby. Alec feels guilty that he didn't die and wears himself out working both farms, and raises a few eyebrows. Evelyn eventually leaves Avonlea to start a new life for herself and Carrie, her baby.
#7 - "Felicity's Grand Design"
(RTA - The Dinner)
Wanting to spend time alone with Gus, Felicity lies to her Parents and tricks Gus into coming over for dinner, for just the two of them. When her parents find out, she is forbidden to see Gus, and she runs away to Gus. Gus, doing the honorable thing, returns Felicity and explains things to Alec. They are allowed to court.

"Here's a tip, don't brush your teeth with a brick."
#8 - "Two Heirs and Graces"
(RTA - Heirs and Graces)
Felix is hired on as the personal assistant to Simon Tremayne (the Royal Pain), the new owner of the White Sands hotel. When his position goes to his head, he stands to lose Gus as a friend. Meanwhile, Royalty is visiting the Island, and Hetty makes sure he stops at the White Sands hotel. It is learned that the Wards are the founding family
of Avonlea.
Sara to Herself
"I hate standing watch. You don't actually do anything, you just stand there being eaten by anxiety."
Janet and Alec
"Is that our little girl?"
"I think I'm having a heart attack!"
#9 - "Hearts and Flowers"
Simon Tremayne needs some ready money, and Hetty needs some new idea's for her next book. She invests some of her royalties into the hotel and becomes Simon's partner. They plan a Valentine day dance, but nothing is easy in Avonlea. There is a surprise health inspection, a French flirt, a dead bird and two men competing for Felicity.
Sara to Hetty and Olivia
"One shouldn't expect to find romance in one's own kitchen."
Simon to Felix
"The woman is positively bloodcurdling!"
#10 - "Felicity's Perfect Beau"
Once again, Arthur and Gus are fighting over Felicity. Sara is stuck in the middle when repeatedly asked to lie. Gus tells Felicity that he loves her, and proposes for the first time.
Sara to Felicity
"Sometimes I think you were buttoning up your boots when the Lord handed out brains!"
#11 - "The Disappearance"
Jonathan Blackwell, a missing heir, comes to Avonlea under the disguise of an antique dealer. When his Aunt comes to town in search of him, he takes off. It's up to Sara to uncover the story behind his disappearance.
#12 - "Jasper's Home Movie"
(RTA - Home Movie)
When Jasper writes a letter to the Edison Company, suggesting some changes for improvement on their movie camera, Sara (pretending to be Hetty) orders funds from her trust account and buys a camera for Jasper. She writes a letter telling Jasper that the camera is his as payment for his working on it. He starts filming bits and pieces of Avonlea for a keepsake for Monty. Meanwhile an American industrialist buys the cannery and tries to buy the town out too. Hetty, with the help of Jasper's movie, convinces the town to refuse his offer.
#13 - "Hearth and Home"
Aunt Eliza is back and is driving everyone to distraction with her harping. Meanwhile, the baby lambs are arriving, but it is too cold for them. Sara and Felix borrow some light bulbs and other equipment from Jasper to heat up the barn, and help save the lambs.
