Road
to Avonlea
Lost
To The Sea
A
Poem by Beth
There
once was a maiden young
Who's
lover was lost to the sea
And
round her neck his necklace hung
And
there it would forever be
On
his ship he set sail
He
said he would return one day
The
waves they tossed it began to hail,
And
the lover was lost to the water of the bay
With
sorrow she was filled
And
said to her lover " I come unto thee"
She
walked to the water by whom her love was killed
And
was swallowed by the ageless sea
Their
bodies they never found
Just
a necklace in the sand
And
now the say forever their bound
By
love and that necklace in the sand
I
would like to thank Beth for her beautiful poem and
for
allowing me to use it!
