The Avonlea_Role-Playing Game is set somewhere between the third and fourth seasons of Avonlea.  The year is...  The Pettibones are new to Avonlea.  Izzy still has short hair.  Olivia is pregnant with Montgomery.   Felix and Gus are working at the White Sands. 

The Avonlea Role-Playing Game is the best rpg around!  It is a great way to remember Avonlea and meet other   kindred spirits at the same time!    The rpg is a mailing list located at http://www.onelist.com. You can join this rpg's by searching for Avonlea_Role-Play.  After you join the list, you will be emailed with intructions as to what to do next.

1.  After you have subscibed to the role-play, please select a character from the list at the left, and then email me your character request.  I must approve you before you can begin role-playing.

2.  Read the details of the official rules listed below.

3.  You must solemnly swear to have fun at all times and be prepared to receive a lot of email and many friends.

The setting:
My role playing game is set in the third/fourth season of Avonlea.   It will forever be the third/fourth season of Avonlea!  If you need a frame of reference for this time period, this is when the Pettibones first came to Avonlea.   Mrs. Lawson was still running the General Store (however Miss Stacey can run it if someone would rather be her).  Jasper and Olivia are married.  Gus and Felicity are not.  *The setting is very important.  Please do not refer to things that have yet to happen or people who have yet to arrive in Avonlea*

Real Characters:

You are allowed to be only one of the following characters: Sara, Felicity, Felix, Izzy, and Gus.  Due to the nature of these characters if you play one of them, and you have not posted within a two-week period, they will be reassigned to someone else who wants to play them.  You may have up to four established Avonlea characters.

Fictional Characters:

If you would like to create your own character, you may but please do the following:

1.  Keep this in mind! Sometimes it is hard for the list to know how to react to these characters.  For this reason, I am putting a restriction on the number of made up characters you can have.  No more than 2 fully developed characters per roleplayer.  You can have as many static characters that you want.  These would be characters that need no explanation, and the list need not remember (example: a butler opening a door). 

2.  Please send me and the list your fictional character's stats. You need not send me the stats of an Avonlea regular.

3.  Please help us become immune to the "long-lost relative syndrome" that plagues many role-playing games.  Come up with a creative and unique way to introduce your character into the rpg.  It is much more interesting to read about a friend from another town than a long lost King cousin from a brother a sister no one ever knew about.  Long-lost relatives=confusion for everyone else:)

The nitty-gritty rules:

After my experiences in another roleplaying game, I feel it's necessary to establish a few rules. Please keep the spirit of Avonlea alive-no profanity please!    If you are going on vacation or are going to be gone for a few days, please send a message through the list stating this.  You may keep your character; however, others may play them in your absence.
