Cecily is the third and youngest daughter of Alec and Janet King. As a child she was very quite and well mannered. She always did as she was told by her older sister Felicity. During the beginning of the series she was not very talkative and did not share many ideas with those around her, but as she grew she started to develop her own voice and voice those opinions and ideas that had been locked up for so very long.
Nearing the end of season five in an episode entitled Thurday's Child, our dear sweet Cecily contract TB, and after much debate and heart ache her family decided that it would be better to send her away to a sanitorium and have a better chance of surviving. While at the sanitorium she befriends, much to her own dismay,Louie, a NYC orphan. She and Louie got into many different scrapes which often led them into being in trouble with the headmistress. Louie sadly ends up succombing to the TB and dies, but not before he encourages Cecily to fight her own recovery. Homecoming, Cecily is finally in remission and is able to come home, the only problem is that most of the townsfolk along with her family still think that she is contagious and are very prejudice towards her. However things work out in the end, and Cecily is welcomed back to the community of Avonlea.
