The video features the heart warming final two episodes from Road to Avonlea: The Final Season "Return to Me" and "So Dear to My Heart". In "Return to Me", Felicity (Gema Zamprogna) travels to South Carolina to search for her long lost love Gus Pike (Michael Mahonen). Felicity discovers that Gus has survived a catastrophic shipwreck but has lost his sight. In "So Dear to My Heart", Gus' return to Avonlea shocks the King family and forces Felicity to break off her engagement to Stuart (David Ferry). In the end, the entire King clan and the residents of Avonlea join Felicity for a touching wedding celebration.
Included with the video are twelve minutes of behind the scenes footage from the show including exclusive interviews with the stars and executive producer Kevin Sullivan. The video sleeve will feature unique and valuable on-pack detachable collectors' cards that can be kept as a souvenir of the beloved series. The release of Road to Avonlea: Return to Me brings the total of available Avonlea cassettes to eleven!
"Many of our fans were disappointed when the series ended its run. Home video allows our millions of fans the opportunity to relive their most cherished moments from the show," said Kevin Sullivan executive producer. "We've added the behind the scenes footage to answer the many requests we've had for more intimate information on the people of Avonlea and the talented performers who brought them to life."
