So Sullivan Entertainment produces great programmes - now what? Somebody has to sell them, right? Well in 1981 Trudy Grant - Kevin's partner - created Sullivan Entertainment International (SEI) to do
just that. SEI soon emerged as a significant exporter in the world's television industry and so it began to distribute for many other Canadian producers worldwide as well. Though SEI has grown to become a major player on the international marketplace - with over 250 hours of programming from features and mini-series to variety specials and documentaries - its philosophy remained simple: handle only exceptionally produced programming. Since its inception, SEI has broken sales records since so many of its programmes have entered major prime-time slots in sought-after markets around the world. SEI's executives have trotted across the globe, forging new relationships, finding financing for new productions, and continually blazing trails into markets, such as Japan and the Orient, which competitors have often found hard to crack. SEI now boasts sales in over 150 countries as it diligently sets out to acquire new titles both internationally and at home for Canada and abroad.
