THE JOURNEY BEGINS
The Journey Begins is the very first RTA episode. It is where Sarah Stanely must be sent to live with her mother's relatives on Prince Edward Island when her father runs into finanicial trouble. Sarah's cousins Andrew and Cecily take to Sarah almost instantly, but felicity is jealous of Sarah's richness and fancy clothes.
THE STORY GIRL EARNS HER NAME
The Story Girl Earns Her Name is the second RTA episode.
When the money from the Magic Lantern Show dissapears, thanks to Mr. Beatty and Sarah Stanely, the Avonlea School must prepare fundraisers to raise money for the new school library. Sara then meets the Awkward Man, Jasper Dale, and discovers he has his own magic Lantern. Just think of Sarah's imagination, and Mr. Dale's Magic Lantern and what to you get? (Just guess)
QUARANTINE AT ALEXANDER ABRAHAM'S
When Jimmy, the helping hand at Mr. Abraham's farm, does not show up for Sunday School, new Sunday School teacher Rachel Lynde takes it upon herself to go talk to Mr. Abraham. Felix King, along with his sisters Cecily, Felicity and cousin Sarah, go to warn Jimmy ahead of time. But the house is locked, so they must find another way in. And Rachel manages to get into the house too, but the two sets of trespassers find out the house is under quarantine for Small Pox.
THE MATERIALIZING OF DUNCAN MCTAVISH
Hurt by her friends comments about being single, Marilla Cuthbert dreams up beau, whom she has never met. She calls him Duncan, and by glancing down at the Avonlea Chronicle she spots the name McTavish, which she uses as her boys last name. It turns out that the newspaper McTavish has the name Duncan, just like Marilla's fake beau. I can't tell you the rest, just watch it or guess.
OLD LADY LLOYD
When Felix, Felicity, Sara, Andrew and Cecily King are left at their Aunt Hetty's for the week when Alec and Janet leave, the kids decide to take a walk. They go by the old Lloyd Place, where inside, Felicity is conviced, a dead body of Margaret Lloyd still lay. Felix and Sara walk up the road to the Lloyd place, but Felix spots Peg Bowen, the Avonlea witch, lurking in the distance, adn takes off, scaring Felicity and Cecily and Andrew and they all take off to Hetty. Sara is caught and taken into the house by Maragaert Lloyd, who is indeed alive, and recognizes Olivia King's best friend Sylvia Gray, from her past.
PROOF OF THE PUDDING
When Alec and Janet leave for their "second" honeymoon, they leave Felicity in charge. Felicity becomes jealous of Sara when her father Blair sends her new ball shoes and makes Sara wreck them. This leads to a big fight. Later, the Governor's wife comes, gets insulted by Felicity, Felix is poisoned, Sara is doing nasty things to Felicity and then Hetty King leaves the children with no supervision at all. Do not miss this RTA episode.
CONVERSIONS
Peter Craig, the hired boy at Rose Cottage has a major crush on Felicty King, who hates him because he is the "hired boy". Edward Ray also likes Felicty and tries desperatly to win her over from Peter. When Peter befriends Peg Bowen, the Avonlea witch, he is teased more by jealous Edward Ray. It is not until Peter becomes ill that everyone relizes how hateful they are.
AUNT ABIGAILS BEAU
Abigail Ward, Janets perfectionist sister is a spinster, much to the despair of Felicity, who thinks her aunt has the greatest life because she wins ribbons at the Avonlea County Fair for her preserves. When Malcolm McQuen, Abby's long lost love returns from the Yukon, she is swept away by his new found prosperity and still his ever lasting love for her.
Can he re-win her heart? Or does she still hold a grudge against him for leaving Avonlea those many years ago...?
MALCOLM AND THE BABY
Ok, Well, obviously Malcolm won Abby over. Well anyways, Hetty King is shocked when her friend,Jane Morris, a fellow school teacher passes away, but so is Rachel Lynde, who was related to the family. It turns out their is a baby, who is fought over by Hetty and Rachel, but is given to Rachel because she is realted. Sara, with the help of Felicity, take the baby and decide to give it to Malcolm and Abigail.
THE WITCH OF AVONLEA
Felix King is depressed when he discovers he cannot do anything right in school, especially spell. When he runs into Peg Bowen, she gives him a magic stone, which is supossed to help him spell. When he is chosen for the Avonlea/Carmody spelling bee, he loses his stone. Will he not be able to spell without it? or is it just a gag to boost his self-esteem?
FELICITY'S CHALLENGE
Clemmie Ray, friend of Cecily, Felicity and Sara, is hurt by peer's comments, especially Sally Potts and Jane Spry. When Felicity makes a bet that she can turn Clemmie into the most popular gal in Avonlea at the Harvest Party, Sara rebels and doesn't go, thinking Fel is making a BIG mistake. Does Clemmie find out about the bet? and what would her brother Edward say...?
THE HOPE CHEST OF ARABELLA KING
Alec and Hetty King's aunt, Arabella dies, leaving the key to the blue hope chest stored in the King Farm to the family.
When they open it, they find all of Arabella's hopes and dreams, and an old clock. With the help of Jasper Dale, they discover Arabella's true story.
TNOTHING ENDURES BUT CHANGE
When Sara Stanly's father, Blair, settles his financial trouble, he comes to PEI to get Sara. This relights the old hatred that Hetty has toward Blair, and only a tragic consequence brings them to unite toghether.
